What is on this site
All word banks, name lists, guides and example names on rapnamegen.com were written for this site. No lyrics, no album artwork, no logos and no photographs of artists are used. Names of real artists appear only where a page needs to identify an existing act — for example when explaining why a generator rejects a name that matches one.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content on this site infringes a copyright or trademark you own, send a notice that includes all of the following:
- The exact URL of the page you are reporting.
- The specific text or element you say is infringing.
- The work or mark you say is being infringed, with a registration number if you have one.
- Your name, organisation and a way to reply to you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate.
- Your signature, physical or electronic.
Send notices to the contact address published on this domain. Incomplete notices are hard to act on, so please include every item above.
What happens next
Valid notices are reviewed within a few business days. If a claim is upheld we remove or rewrite the material, and where a word bank is affected we remove the word from the generator so it cannot be regenerated. If we believe a notice is mistaken, we will explain why before changing anything.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice with the same level of detail as above, explaining why the use is lawful. We will pass it on to the original complainant as required.
Trademark note
A name generated by this site is a word combination, not a brand. Generating a name does not grant you trademark rights, and it does not clear you to use a name that someone else has registered. Clearance is your responsibility before you release music or sell merchandise.
